Hey Toronto folks!

THEREFORE REPENT!, my post-Rapture graphic novel, is launching a week today to kick off the Toronto Comic Arts Festival. It's a co-launch with another comic about the end of the world -- my pal Claudia Dávila has written a thoughtful and ultimately hopeful story called spOILed about what happens when the world runs out of petroleum.

As well as the books being on sale, Salgood Sam will be bringing down the original Therefore Repent! art from Montreal for folks to ogle -- some crazy ass shit. To see his splash pages and the neato flyer for the event, check this out:

...or read the plaintext below for the deets.

Also: Have you always wanted to apply your artistic skills to make your own videogame, but don't program? Drop me a line!

DRAWN OUT APOCALYPSES: COMICS ABOUT THE END OF THE WORLD

A comic book launch featuring two very different visions of the end days, spanning the political spectrum: Claudia Dávila's spOILed is a peak oil parable about a world without petroleum and Salgood Sam and Jim Munroe's THEREFORE REPENT! is a post-Rapture graphic novel about a world without God.

The artists and writers will be in attendance, and their original artwork from the comics will be on display. Books, original artwork and silkscreened posters will be on sale. This event kicks off the Toronto Comic Arts Festival, which culminates in the weekend fair of international artists on the U of T campus, info at http://torontocomics.com/tcaf/

Thursday, August 16th, 8-10pm. Free.
